Two toned eye makeup 💚.

I love Linda Hallberg and jkissa style of makeup they did two toned eye makeup a while back. And I always see two toned eye makeup on instagram but never on girls my skin tone. I don’t know why that is. But I thought I would give it a try and I like it it’s not that bad. Would I wear this out? No not nescessarily. It’s for artsy situations  like editorials or maybe you could wear this out in public, I’m just too chicken to. Anyway, here’s my look;

Purple and Pink cut crease.

IMG-20160116-WA0033

Well the title says it all. For a while I’ve been stuck with only trying blended out looks on myself and clients. But, a harsh cut crease is nice to try from time to time. Overly blended  eyeshadow is beautiful it’s just that I’ve always  been great at blending cut creases aren’t my ish. So that’s why I did this pictorial 💜.  I know not everyone is a instagram makeup artist or fiend so this is different from your typical day to day eye makeup and it looks hard to do. Surprisingly it was pretty easy.

Here are the steps!

  1. White or off white primer. I used my lightest concealer and applied that all over the lid and brow bone. Dusted my face powder from brow bone to lid to help with blending.
  2. Used my contour powder as a transition colour and blended that in the crease.
  3. then in upward blending motion I applied a bright, matte pinky/purple to start “cutting” the crease. And followed up with a  smaller brush and applied a darker purple in the crease using the same upward blending motion.
  4. I placed a black in the crease in the same upward blending motion as I did with the purple trying not to get it on the lid. But as you can see I already placed a dark purple in the outer part of the lid but, I changed my mind and decided to put it on the lower lash lash line.
  5. I used a pink blue fusia glittery duochrome colour on the lid without a black base because I wanted the pink to show through.
  6. I cleaned up the fallout and applied foundation,concealer and set that with powder. I lined my upper and lower water line with a black kohl pencil then I smuged it both on the lower and upper lash lines. Then I blended that dark glittery duochrome purple in the lower lash line.
  7. Applied mascara.
  8. applied a champagne gold inner corner highlight.

Grungey smokey eyes.

Been watching Jamie Genevieve on youtube for a while now. I love her style of makeup. Messy smokey eyes and an amazing highlight for days. She taught me so much. Makeup is different on everyone not one eye look can look the same but, I love how the look turned out on me. It made my eyes look more elongated and larger and the blue made my brown eyes stand out.

The products I used where the sleekmakeup idivine palletes in original (the navy shade), and the Ultra mattes v2 (paper bag) and lastly my face powder as a base for all the shadows to blend over and a the silver inner corner highlight was from a neon w7 pallette.  I used the makeup I have and I’m a firm believer that you don’t need high end products to recreate certain looks.
